This work shows the interior of a traditional domed structure from a low, upward viewpoint, but at its center—against expectation—a nude female figure appears, suspended and dancing. The bold pairing of the human form with architectural order conveys a sense of suspension between earth and sky, body and spirit. A monochromatic palette and sharp light–shadow contrasts add a dreamlike, enigmatic quality to the piece.
